Writing Sample 1: Instructional Copy for Fort Collins Museum of Discovery's Brand Style Guide, 2017
Rules for Photography - FCMoD uses photography to tell our story. Bold, clear images help us best communicate who we are and what we do. Photographs should never be blurry or pixelated. Photographs should be well lit, with engaging subjects, and in bright and bold colors. Actual photos of FCMoD and its experiences (with proper permissions and releases) are preferred, but stock photos are allowed when obtaining an appropriate photo of an experience or activity is not feasible. Typically, full bleed images are set with a curved edge to reflect the circles of our logo. Circular, overlapping photos convey the depth and variety of FCMoD experiences as well as pay homage to our logo. Rectangular and square images are permitted when circular imagery is not feasible.

Writing Sample 2: Label Copy for an Exhibition at Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, 2018
“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.” – Fred Rogers
Close your eyes and there it is. The creak of the swing set as you soar through the air; that feeling as you climb to the top of the tallest slide; the smell of grass and wood chips and summer afternoons. Your favorite playground. Playgrounds occupy a special place in our childhood memories. We savor the time we spent dashing for the merry-go-round or seesaw, and joining in games with friends old and new. While the desire to play and interact with others has not changed over the years, playground structures certainly have.
